Studies at the study centre at the University and Medical University of Vienna
At the COPLANT study centre in Vienna, study participants are asked to complete questionnaires relating to lifestyle and dietary habits, undergo physical examinations and provide biosamples during two appointments. In addition, a smartphone-based app is used to record nutrition in detail. In addition to the common basic examinations that take place at all study centres, the Vienna study centre specialises in further examinations of body composition using ultrasound. For example, measurements of liver fat, muscle quality and thyroid volume are carried out. There are also plans to collect finger sweat and hair samples for the development of modern biomarkers of nutrition.
